Pop Starz Records Announces the Hiring of Stanley Marseille as Vice-President Artist & Repertoire (A&R).
Pop Starz Inc. (Pink Sheets: PSRZ) an operator of dance training centers currently concentrating on the musical genre popularly referred to as Hip Hop and Pop, announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Pop Starz Records Inc. has appointed Stanley Marseille ("Marseille") as its Vice-President Artist & Repertoire ("A&R"). PSR intends to develop, produce, license, acquire and distribute recorded music and song catalogues, primarily in the popular Hip Hop and pop genres.

Since September 2004, Marseille worked in a variety of roles with Jive Records (a Sony BMG company), including Assistant to the Senior VP A&R, Jeff Fenster (credited for signing Brittany Spears), and as Assistant to the VP for Urban Marketing, Lisa Cambridge.
In these capacities, Marseille reviewed demonstration music tracks, scouted for new talent, booked showcases, attended producer and music conferences, helped create recording budgets, reviewed artist photo shoots, market research, hired street teams and so forth in various capacities for artists such as

Lesley Roy, Usher (re-release album), Backstreet Boys, Britney, Deepside, UGK, Bowling For Soup, Charlie Wilson, Dirtbag, Eamon, Raheem DeVaughn, YoungBloodz, Pink, Deepside and Britney's new LP. Before Jive, Marseille was a marketing intern for Robert Caiaffa at Interscope Records. There he worked on photo shoots, read thru video treatments, got pricing for flyers, posters, postcards, promo items from vendors and updated and maintained artist schedules in various capacities for JadaKiss, Slim Thug, Lloyd Banks & Young Buck project.

Marseille's responsibilities shall include scouting and developing talent as well as finding songwriters and record producers for PSR's acts. "I never studied music but I've always had a passion for it. I always had or knew about what the latest music or buzz going around the industry was. My peers in college and in high school always told me that I would be doing something in music because I always knew what I was talking about, and if I didn't know, I knew how to find it. I've been in the business for almost 4 years now, I love the business of making music and I wouldn't change it for the world. I'm very excited about joining the Pop Starz family of companies and will do the best I can by using my connections and experience to create hits," said Marseille.
