Pop Starz Records, a Florida corporation formed on July 5, 2006, is engaged in the business of developing, producing, licensing, acquiring and distributing recorded music, primarily in the currently popular Hip Hop genre.
In the future the company plans to branch into other Pop music styles as opportunities are developed by the company and through its relationship with its parent Pop Starz. |
A singer-songwriter-producer, Del was free-lance producer on Jon Secada’s 2005 recordings for Big 3 Records and also wrote songs for Big Band Radio that year and he won a 2005 Telly Award for his performance of "Careless Whisper.” In 2004 he wrote songs for Pitbull for TVT Records. In 2003, Del formed a production company, B Smooth Productions, with Dennis Dellinger, and together they produced Del’s debut CD, “Go All Night,” on the newly formed label MBSC Records, distributed through LightYear Entertainment/WEA.
A Miami native, Del was producing local R&B artists when discovered by Gloria Estefan. He went on to create drum machine arrangements for Latin stars Celia Cruz and Thalia, and later appeared in a series of music videos, including “She Bangs” by Ricky Martin, Shakira’s “Mequedes Tu” and “A New Day Has Come” by Celine Dion. Del then collaborated with Dallas Austin, JC Chasez, Scott Storch and the Diaz Brothers, and in 1999 he worked as a writer and producer for Heat Music.
Del’s principal duties will include scouting new artists and helping to develop those artists after a recording and/or development contract has been signed by managing, writing, producing, promoting and distributing songs on behalf of Pop Starz Records and its artists as well as developing relationships with songwriters, song producers, song promoters, album distributors, etc. “As a subsidiary of Pop Starz, we have an established entertainment position in South Florida through contacts with leading Hip Hop performers, producers, choreographers, media and emerging talent nationwide.
